Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated:

ShareThings is for sharing things between people who trust each other. These rules apply to everything you share.

Do not share

  • Malware: viruses, ransomware, spyware, or anything built to damage or take over a device or account.
  • Child sexual abuse material, or any sexual content involving a minor. This is never allowed.
  • Copyright infringement: content you have no right to share.
  • Doxxing and private data: other people's personal information, such as addresses, phone numbers, ID or financial details, shared without their consent.
  • Harassment: threats, stalking, hate or abuse aimed at a person or group.
  • Fraud and phishing: scams, fake login pages, impersonation, or anything meant to trick people out of money or credentials.
  • Anything illegal in India.

Do not use the service to attack or overload it or to get around its limits.

What happens if you do

  • We may remove the share and disable its link immediately and without notice.
  • We may block you from the service.
  • Where the law requires it, or where someone may be in danger, we may give information to the authorities.

How to report

Use the report form: every share page has a “Report this share” link that fills in the address for you. Or write to abuse@sharethings.lol and include the share's link address and what is wrong with it. For copyright, choose Copyright in the form, or see the Terms. We cannot promise a reply or say when we will look at a report. What we keep about a report is in the Privacy Policy. If someone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first.
